At the start of the 12 months, our church time changed from 9:00 a.m. to eleven:00 a.m. While I choose 9:00 (get up, get going, again in time for Monkey nap I really like the yummy breakfasts we’ve on Sunday mornings. This previous Sunday, we had homemade waffles with a cream cheese/whipped cream topping with contemporary strawberries and chocolate chips.
Oh, and don thoughts the inexperienced plastic plate. Now we have 5 boys. We break fewer dishes when they’e plastic! 😉
Anyway, I really like crafting, however I also love cooking. Find it irresistible, love it, find it irresistible!
So, onto What I Wore Sunday/p>
I wore mattress sheets to Church. It true. I wore sheets, and no one even knew!
I purchased two units of sheets off of the clearance rack for less than $5. They were each queen sized, so that Lots of fabric!
I made the dolman-model shirt out of the jersey knit sheets I purchased and the skirt from a cotton mix. From the image, it looks like I don match, but there are sage inexperienced stripes on the skirt. Stay tuned for the dolman model shirt tutorial. I’e obtained it scheduled for May 31st.
So, the skirt. Oh my goodness. It was so fun to make, but because it was only a trial and error kind factor, I didn take footage. This cute skirt from Shabby Apple was my inspiration:
The sheet simply had vertical lines on it, so I minimize four separate skirt panels on the bias to get the chevron stripes. I needed to match the stripes up, although. The panels had been shaped like this:
For the hem, I simply minimize the thick band off the top of the flat sheet, lined it up with my skirt and sewed it on!
Last week get together was uber fun. I’m simply amazed at how creative you all are!
My favourite link was this awesomefabric bracelet from Handmade by Hilani
I over the craft for our Stake Girl Camp arising. I believe this can be an excellent enjoyable and straightforward craft. We need to sew it by hand, but that means the women study hand sewing too. I l see if I can get it approved/p>
