I have been a fiberartist for about 35 years now. I’ve never had to use vinegar to make the kool-help set higher within the wool. Merely mix the powder into the water, place wool gently into, squeeze (use gloves) gently to get the air out from between the wool, then heat on a stove over low heat until whisps of steam come off the water, then turn off the heat and simply let the kool-help set into the wool.
You can do sun-jar Kool-Aid dyeing as properly with no vinegar wanted.
